Fabulous vintage 9ct yellow gold Uranium glass ring with tiny diamond accents on the shoulders.

Beautifully claw set with a huge green faceted stone measuring approx 14mm long x 10mm wide.

The stone is set in a high setting.

It has a very intense green glow under UV / blacklight. I have used a 395nm uv torch for the photos.

Size P 1/2.

The ring is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks to the stone that I can see.

I really can not in words describe just how beautiful this ring is and it really needs to be seen to be appreciated.

About Uranium Glass -

Uranium glass / crystals glow a vibrant, bright green under a blacklight / UV light.
Uranium, usually in Oxide Diuranate form was added to a glass mix before melting to result in a beautiful green colour. Naturally Uranium glass in direct sunlight will give of a fluorescent green colour and due to it's glowing properties under UV light Uranium glass has become highly collectible today.
Uranium can be found in green glass, yellow glass and even white and blue glass although the majority is green.
