Antique Art Deco teal green and black glass bead necklace.

This stunning Art Deco necklace has been designed way back in the 30’s with teal green and black glass beads.
The central focal beads are Uranium and glow under a UV light.

Quite a chunky, unusual design that is definitely a statement necklace

About Uranium Glass -

Uranium glass / crystals glow a vibrant, bright green under a blacklight / UV light.
Uranium, usually in Oxide Diuranate form was added to a glass mix before melting to result in a beautiful green colour. Naturally Uranium glass in direct sunlight will give of a fluorescent green colour and due to it's glowing properties under UV light Uranium glass has become highly collectible today.
Uranium can be found in green glass, yellow glass and even white and blue glass although the majority is green.
