Vintage unusual two strand Uranium glass leaf drop necklace.

This stunning necklace is a gorgeous two strand design of large Czech pressed glass leaf drops in blue and green tones on a gold tone chain.

The teal leaf drops are Uranium glass and have a fantastic glow under a uv light.

About Uranium Glass -

Uranium glass / crystals glow a vibrant, bright green under a blacklight / UV light.
Uranium, usually in Oxide Diuranate form was added to a glass mix before melting to result in a beautiful green colour. Naturally Uranium glass in direct sunlight will give of a fluorescent green colour and due to it's glowing properties under UV light Uranium glass has become highly collectible today.
Uranium can be found in green glass, yellow glass and even white and blue glass although the majority is green.
