Absolutely stunning Uranium glass huge Emerald / rectangle cut ring.

A beautiful ring, prong set with a huge faceted 18 x 16mm rectangle cut Uranium glass crystal.

I have listed this as yellow / gold metal, it is not hallmarked so I believe it to be gold plated.

An absolutely beautiful statement Uranium glass ring set with a massive crystal unlike any other I have seen before.

About Uranium Glass -

Uranium glass / crystals glow a vibrant, bright green under a blacklight / UV light.
Uranium, usually in Oxide Diuranate form was added to a glass mix before melting to result in a beautiful green colour. Naturally Uranium glass in direct sunlight will give of a fluorescent green colour and due to it's glowing properties under UV light Uranium glass has become highly collectible today.
Uranium can be found in green glass, yellow glass and even white and blue glass although the majority is green.
